Pool Deck Resurfacing & Pool Repair

Resurfacing over damage just relocates the problem, so repair comes first. We fix cracks at depth, rebuild chipped and spalled areas and restore the original surface shape.

Slope corrections are part of the job where water pools on the deck instead of draining away. Old coatings, tiles and glue are removed completely so the new surface bonds to sound concrete.

The new surface has two jobs: grip and endurance. We build slip resistance into the texture, so the deck stays safe for running kids and wet feet, and we use coatings that hold their colour in full sun and shrug off pool chemicals.

Our featured system here is Graniflex, a flake and quartz overlay that is proven on pool decks. Its membrane stays permanently flexible, which makes it highly crack resistant through freeze-thaw winters, and it delivers a granite look in thousands of colour combinations. California knockdown texture is the classic alternative.

The deck is not the only concrete at the pool. We also repair interior pool marbelizing, the smooth marbelite coating on the inside of concrete pools.

Where the marbelite is damaged, rough or delaminating, we restore the surface rather than replaster the entire pool. Handling pool interior repair and deck resurfacing as one project means one crew, one schedule and a pool area finished together.

Exterior coatings need warm, dry conditions to cure, so the season runs spring through fall, and spring bookings fill fastest. Resurfacing the deck before opening weekend beats losing swim weeks to construction in July.

A repaired and sealed deck also goes into winter protected, which is what slows the freeze-thaw damage that started the problem.

The deck usually asks politely before it fails. Cracks that widen each spring, patches that flake or powder underfoot, smooth worn areas that get slippery when wet, and colour gone blotchy from sun and chlorine are all early signals.

Ponding water after rain matters more than it looks: a deck that holds puddles keeps itself wet, freezes wetter, and cracks faster. Slope corrections during resurfacing solve the cause, not just the appearance.
