Concrete Driveway Repair
Cracked, pitted or flaking driveway? We repair and resurface concrete driveways across the GTA so you skip the cost of tearing it out.
Ontario is hard on driveways. Water soaks into the surface, freezes, and pops the top layer off a little more every winter. Add de-icing salt and you get the classic GTA driveway: cracked, pitted and flaking, with a perfectly sound slab underneath.
That sound slab is why concrete driveway repair works. TCR Pro has repaired and resurfaced driveways across Toronto and the GTA since 1998, restoring the surface instead of tearing out the whole thing.

Why GTA driveways fail
Freeze-thaw is the main enemy. Concrete is porous, and every cycle of soaking and freezing pushes at the surface from inside. De-icing salt makes it worse by driving more moisture in and attacking the concrete chemically.
The result is scaling, pitting and spalling: surface damage that looks alarming but usually leaves the structural slab intact. Cracks come from settlement and shrinkage, and once open, they feed the freeze-thaw cycle water.
What we fix
- Cracks. Driveway crack repair at full depth so water stops feeding the damage.
- Pitting and spalling. Damaged surfaces rebuilt to a uniform plane.
- Scaling. Salt-damaged top layers ground off and restored.
- Worn or stained surfaces. Old coatings and glue removed, surface renewed.
- Uneven areas. Levelling and surface preparation for a safe, even driveway.
Resurfacing: a new driveway look without the new driveway
When the whole surface is tired, resurfacing beats patching. We repair the underlying damage, then apply a durable overlay across the full driveway so it wears as one continuous layer.
For the toughest finish we install Graniflex, a flexible resurfacing system that penetrates the concrete and stays flexible instead of going brittle. It is highly crack resistant, built for exterior use, and comes in a huge range of permanent colour and chip combinations with the look of granite or quartz.
Every driveway repair can be finished with a protective sealer that shrugs off road salt and slows the freeze-thaw cycle that caused the damage in the first place.
Repair vs a new concrete driveway
A new concrete driveway means demolition, disposal, a new pour and often drawings and permits. Repair works with what you have: in most cases no permits or drawings are needed, the job takes days instead of weeks, and the cost is a fraction of replacement.
We do not pour new driveways, so our recommendation is not a sales pitch for a bigger contract. If your slab is genuinely done, we will say so. Most are not.
When to repair a driveway
The honest answer is: at the small-crack stage, in warm weather. Every open crack feeds water into the slab, and every winter multiplies the damage, so the same driveway costs more to fix each year it waits.
Late spring through fall is the working season for exterior repair and resurfacing, when materials cure properly. Repairing in summer and sealing before the first salt goes down is the cycle that keeps a driveway out of trouble.
If you are unsure whether yours is worth repairing, photos are enough for a first assessment. We will tell you what is urgent, what can wait and what it costs, for free.

Frequently asked questions
Far less than replacement, which is the point. The price depends on crack length, how much surface is spalled or scaled, and whether you want a full resurfacing or a targeted repair. Send photos of the driveway and we will give you a free estimate.
Usually yes. Surface scaling and pitting from salt and freeze-thaw damage the top layer while the slab underneath stays sound. We rebuild the damaged surface and can resurface the whole driveway so it wears as one uniform layer.
No. We are a repair and resurfacing company. If your slab is truly beyond repair we will tell you honestly, but most driveways we see can be restored for a fraction of what a new pour costs.
Repairs and overlays need cure time before vehicle traffic, typically a few days depending on the product and weather. We give you exact numbers for your specific repair before we start.
